Objectives:
- To establish and maintain a proper background for evaluating of present and future legislation with consequences for the boating industry and usage of recreational craft
- To establish `environmental care` as a core value of the recreational boating industry
- To establish worldwide acceptance for recreational boating being a sustainable activity
- To influence environmental legislation to minimise pressures on natural marine resources caused by whatever activities
- To promote relevant, proper and expedient training and education of economic operators and boat users and to assist MIAs in educating their members to run their businesses in a sustainable/environmentally friendly way
