Objectives: To establish and maintain a proper background for evaluating of present and future legislation with consequences for the boating industry and usage of recreational craft To establish `environmental care` as a core value of the recreational boating industry To establish world wide acceptance for recreational boating being a sustainable activity To influence environmental legislation to minimize pressures on natural marine resources caused by whatever activities To promote relevant, proper and expedient training and education of economic operators and boat users and to assist MIAs educating their members to run their businesses in a sustainable/environmental friendly way
