ICOMIA has one main focus – our members. We exist to help our members thrive and grow their businesses. In particular, we help national marine industry associations grow by promoting recreational boating and highlighting ways to get more people involved.

We also lobby national governments and international organisations such as the European Commission, the International Maritime Organisation and the United States Environmental Protection Agency.

ICOMIA aims to help improve boating safety, protect the environment and promote international trade.

ISO boat building and standards

Directly supporting the development of ISO boat building and marine equipment standards, the organisation ensures high standards are met when setting the criteria for building safe boats and equipment.

Promoting boating as fun and accessible, we are actively growing the boating industry and making it more inclusive.
