The Magenta Project (TMP) has officially opened applications for its 2026/27 Mentoring Programme, inviting aspiring female professionals from across the sailing and wider marine industry to take part in its internationally recognised initiative.

The Magenta Project 9th Year
Now entering its ninth year, the nine-month programme is the first of its kind in the global sailing and marine sector. It connects women with experienced industry professionals who provide guidance, knowledge and career support, helping participants develop their skills and confidence while expanding their professional networks.
325 Female Mentees Supported to Date
Since launching in 2018, The Magenta Project has supported more than 325 female mentees and engaged over 150 mentors from around the world. The programme covers a broad range of career pathways, reflecting the diversity of opportunities available across the marine industry. These include inshore and offshore sailing, foiling, STEM, media, management, and race management and support.
Applications Open Until 31 August 2026
Applications are open until 31 August 2026, with a series of online information sessions taking place throughout August to help prospective applicants learn more about the programme and the application process.
Giving Back to the Industry
The Magenta Project is also seeking experienced professionals who would like to give back to the industry by becoming mentors or sharing their expertise through webinars. Mentors play a vital role in supporting the next generation of marine professionals while contributing to a more diverse, inclusive and representative industry.
