The group of notified bodies under the Recreational Craft Directive, RSG (Recreational Craft Sectoral Group), held sub group meetings in Egham last week, hosted by ICOMIA.
Issues discussed in the meetings were the amended Stability Standards, Fuel Hose materials and their Bio fuel tolerance, Post Construction Assessment and Electro Magnetic Compatibility (EMC). Papers will be added to the RSG Guidelines, which is the working code of notified bodies for RCD assessment.
A working group has been set up to provide information to which standard fuel hoses can be tested to ensure bio fuel compatibility. The results should be available by the end of the year in a special technical note. The latter will be made available on the RSG website, and distributed to the ICOMIA Technical Committee and IMEC.
