Hiswa te Water 2026 Looks Back on Successful 41st Edition

425 New Boats on Show
Visitors and exhibitors are looking back with great enthusiasm on Hiswa te Water 2026 at Bataviahaven. The festive 41st edition took place under brilliant autumn sunshine, with only some rain on Friday.
More than 425 brand-new boats from all over the world shone in the harbour and attracted plenty of attention. Visitors clearly enjoyed the impressive range of boats, the lively atmosphere and everything the show had to offer.
All the Right Ingredients
Show Director Arjen Rahusen is therefore looking back on this edition with great satisfaction: “We were delighted to welcome so many watersports enthusiasts and exhibitors from a record number of countries. Thanks to the relatively good weather, the stunning boats, the ideal location and the particularly friendly and festive atmosphere, all the ingredients came together perfectly.”
Boat of the Year Awards
Ahead of the show, the Boat of the Year Awards were presented in a festive ceremony. The Saffier SE 28 Leopard was named Sailing Yacht of the Year. In the open motorboat category, the award went to the Highfield ADV7, while the Steeler Enigma 50 won in the motor yacht category. The Esea Open Day Boat 800 received the award in the electric boats category. In addition, brothers Dean and Dennis Hennevanger were honoured with a Lifetime Achievement Award, while the Startup Award went to Boss Boating.
Victron Energy
For 40 years, Victron Energy has been represented at the show through the many distributors offering its systems. This year, the specialist in electric energy systems took a new step: as part of the Green Route, Victron Energy was present with its own stand for the first time. “We were incredibly pleased with how it went. Because of our location on the quay, we mainly attracted seriously interested visitors, distributors and exhibitors. That has been incredibly valuable to us.”
Autumn Island
A new feature at the show this year was the Aluminium Island: a gathering place for various suppliers of aluminium boats. John Sellis of AluShip looks back enthusiastically on the joint island: “Visitors could see in one place what is possible with aluminium. It worked fantastically and attracted a large and very diverse audience. Next year, we hope to expand the island even further.”
Hiswa te Water 2027
Following this successful edition, the organisers are already looking ahead with great enthusiasm. The next Hiswa te Water will take place from Wednesday 1 to Sunday 5 September 2027.
