ICOMIA World Marinas Conference 2027 Shanghai Preview
The 2027 ICOMIA World Marinas Conference will be held in Shanghai.
Michael Duck, Executive Vice President – Commercial Development, Informa Markets:
“We are absolutely honoured that ICOMIA has selected Shanghai as the host city for the International World Marinas Conference 2027. This represents a tremendous opportunity to bring the global marina community together in one of Asia’s most dynamic maritime capitals.
Shanghai’s position as a leading international port and China’s gateway to the world makes it the perfect venue to explore the future of marina development in Asia-Pacific. The region’s marina industry has experienced extraordinary growth, with significant investments in waterfront infrastructure and recreational boating facilities transforming coastlines across China and Southeast Asia.
Having worked in the exhibitions industry for over 30 years across Asia, I’ve witnessed firsthand the evolution of China’s marine sector. The enthusiasm and innovation we see in Chinese marina development is remarkable, from cutting-edge sustainable design practices to integrated waterfront communities that are redefining the marina experience.
IWMC 2027 will provide an unparalleled platform for international delegates to discover these innovations while fostering the knowledge exchange that makes our industry stronger. Shanghai’s world-class infrastructure and connectivity will enable us to welcome marina professionals from across the globe, creating opportunities for meaningful partnerships between Eastern and Western markets.
At Informa Markets, we’re committed to delivering an exceptional conference experience that builds upon ICOMIA’s legacy of bringing together the world’s marina community. Our deep understanding of Asian markets, combined with our global exhibition expertise, positions us perfectly to create an event that will drive real business outcomes and lasting industry connections.
We look forward to showcasing Shanghai’s vibrant marina landscape and facilitating the conversations that will shape the future of our industry. IWMC 2027 will be more than a conference – it will be a celebration of the innovation and collaboration that defines the international marina community.”
Jeff Feng, Project Director – Sinoexpo, Informa Markets:
“From the initial participation in the bidding process to witnessing the success of Shanghai, I felt extremely excited and thrilled to have been able to be part of the entire journey. To witness the concepts from water-rich regions around the world and see how the marinas have enriched and promoted the lifestyles of modern society. This is also a significant contribution of IWMC to the water-loving ecology of humans. I believe that Shanghai and the entire Asia-Pacific market will surprise us. This sleeping Eastern lion that is about to awaken will surely bring a wonderful industry feast to everyone and open a brand new door of vitality.
I’d like to spare the use of countless words and let the experience in Shanghai leave everyone with an unforgettable impression.”
