The International Council of Marine Industry Associations (ICOMIA) is pleased to announce that Danish Marine Industry Association, Danboat, has re-joined ICOMIA as a full member after an absence of six-months.
After the demise of the association in 2011, Danboat reformed in November 2011 under the leadership of new Chairman, Jan B. Hansen, who is delighted with progress so far, “the goal was to recruit 40 members in the new year” says Hansen, “however during the founding meeting, 44 companies joined immediately, and there were several positive responses from businesses, who unfortunately could not be present that day.”
With a membership now exceeding 50, including boat builders, shipyards, designers, manufacturers, importers, exporters and wholesalers, Danboat’s four-strong team is once again in a position to represent Denmark’s recreational marine industry – “we have created a trade association all members will enjoy” says Hansen.
The return of Danboat brings the number of full ICOMIA members to 34. ICOMIA’s members include marine industry associations from the vast majority of industrialised countries from North America across to Japan and from Finland down to New Zealand.
