France – Operating Limits

Speed limits in force (usually 5 knots) on inland waters and in harbours. In coastal waters, speed limits (5 knots) and channel restricted navigation where beach traffic scheme exists (within 300 m from coast). Navigation limited to 5 Nm from shelter for motor boats below 5 m Lh and sailing dinghies / open keel boats. For other boats, minimum safety equipment required (see safety equipment area) according to navigation under or above 6 Nm from shelter.
