Session Description
11th Hour Racing have a high profile position amongst the elite of round the world sailing, whilst the biggest environmental impact they create is delivered in partnership with industry players around the world. Our challenge is how can we collaborate to create even greater impact together.
Part 1
A 20 minute introduction, delivered by Jeremy Pochman, the CEO of 11th Hour Racing on the state of ocean science and preservation, and a show case of the work of 11th Hour Racing.
Part 2
A panel discussion chaired by Joe Lynch, CEO of ICOMIA to discuss the sustainability initiatives already underway within our respective networks. (Including Posidonia, LCA and others)

Part 3
A discussion with the audience to highlight areas of potential collaboration that 11th Hour could support. Audience members will be asked to identify opportunities taking place within the IFBSO or MIA networks that would match the criteria of support for 11th Hour Racing.
Michelle Carnevale Speaker Bio
Michelle is the President of 11th Hour Racing, leading the organization’s operations and programmatic teams. Prior to joining 11th Hour Racing, Michelle spent six years at the University of Rhode Island Coastal Resources Center, working on the state climate change adaptation plan and developing state policy and best practices for offshore wind energy development. She also taught marine science for a number of ocean-focused and sailing organizations. She holds a B.S. in Marine Ecology from Cornell University, an MBA, and an M.A. in Marine Affairs/Coastal Management from the University of Rhode Island.
