Hiswa te Water 2026: The Green Route EV Motor Show and Green Tour Put Sustainable Boating Centre Stage

Hiswa te Water 2026, taking place from 2–6 September 2026 at Bataviahaven, Lelystad, is significantly expanding The Green Route.

The Hiswa te Water 2026 EV Motor Show & The Green Tour

New for 2026 are the EV Motor Show, a central showcase of electric and hybrid propulsion systems, and The Green Tour – daily guided tours taking visitors to exhibitors leading the way in sustainable boating.

Since its launch in 2025, The Green Route has served as the exhibition’s guide to sustainable boating. It aims to make sustainable technologies more visible throughout the show, beginning with electric propulsion. All exhibitors showcasing electric motors, as well as electric and hybrid boats, are clearly identified on the show map, exhibitor listings and at their stands. This year, the initiative expands with two major new features: the EV Motor Show and The Green Tour.

New: EV Motor Show Showcases the Full Range of Electric and Hybrid Propulsion

Located in a central position within the exhibition entrance hall, the EV Motor Show will present a comprehensive overview of electric and hybrid propulsion systems, including brands, motor types and power outputs. Around 16 manufacturers will display examples from their product ranges.

The Coalition for Sustainable Boating, the industry association representing manufacturers in this sector, will staff the central information desk, providing visitors with impartial advice. Detailed information about individual propulsion systems and their capabilities can then be explored at each manufacturer’s exhibition stand.

New: The Green Tour Offers a One-Hour Journey Through Sustainable Innovation

Also launching in 2026 is The Green Tour – daily guided walks in small groups, visiting a curated selection of 10 exhibitors involved in sustainable boating. During each stop, exhibitors will deliver a short presentation outlining their vision and showcasing their latest products and innovations.

The tour covers a broad range of sustainability topics, including:

  • Electric propulsion systems and boats
  • Lithium battery technology
  • Environmentally friendly marine sanitation systems
  • Sustainable antifouling solutions
  • Eco-friendly boatbuilding and decking materials
  • Renewable energy from solar, wind and motion

Starting at the EV Motor Show in the entrance hall, the tour provides visitors with a concise yet comprehensive overview of the latest developments in sustainable boating—all within one hour.

The Green Tour is organised in partnership with Waterrecreatie Nederland. Visitors can register for a guided tour via the Duurzame Waterrecreatie website.

Growing Reach Since Its Launch in 2025

The Green Route proved its value in 2025 as an important guide for visitors. Of the 278 exhibitors at the show, 71 were actively involved in electric and hybrid boating and were clearly identified with green signage at their stands.

In 2026, participating exhibitors will once again be highlighted on the exhibition map, within the entrance hall, in the official show magazine and on the Hiswa te Water website. New this year is an interactive exhibition map, enabling visitors to plan their own personalised route through the latest sustainable boating solutions.

“With the EV Motor Show and The Green Tour, we’re taking the next step. Visitors won’t just see where sustainable boating is happening—they’ll experience it firsthand at the stands and learn about it directly from exhibitors in just a few minutes,” said Arjen Rahusen, Director of Hiswa te Water.

Collaboration and Initiative

The Green Route is an initiative of Hiswa te Water, developed in collaboration with Marcel Schaap, whose extensive experience and network within the sustainable boating sector have helped shape the programme.

“A tremendous amount is already happening in the field of sustainable boating. It’s important to make these developments far more visible at a leading event such as Hiswa te Water. That’s exactly what The Green Route is designed to do,” added Marcel Schaap.
