The Superyacht Forum 2025 – ‘NXT’ step press release

by

The Superyacht Forum has released its latest press release focusing on this year’s NXT themed agenda.

The next edition of the superyacht sector’s must-attend event (17-18 November 2025) announces its strong agenda tackling the industry’s forthcoming challenges and opportunities through brilliantly curated content, top class speakers, industry-renowned panellists and excellent networking opportunities.

Unrivalled Opportunities

The Superyacht Forum offers an unrivalled opportunity for more than 900 industry leaders, decision makers, innovators and solution providers to meet with each other from around the world at RAI Amsterdam each year. They discuss and learn about the topics that matter most to a multi-billion-dollar industry that is a significant employer, technical innovator and generator of local income across the globe.

This year’s NXT-themed agenda is firmly centred on how to successfully propel the superyacht sector into the next decade and beyond. Key focal points for The Superyacht Forum 2025 include Synergy & Solutions, Operational Excellence & Trust, and Superyacht Standards & Evolution.

Informed NXT content on the industry’s major points of focus

Visionary founder of the Blue Economy, Gunter Pauli, will open the first day of The Superyacht Forum by explaining how the industry can utilise its position to drive breakthroughs in sustainability. The sector’s potential to integrate impactful purposes for good will also feature on a second day panel discussing how to effectively channel superyacht resources towards humanitarian relief through organisations like Sail to Shelter and Yachting Gives Back. The start of day two will dive into the state of the industry, leading into a discussion on the next steps to take.

Future superyacht design, innovation and construction feature significantly on the agenda, reflecting one of the focal points: Superyacht Standards & Evolution. Acknowledged industry experts will examine several key topics, including how to respond to increasing weather extremes and examination of the benefits of moving to unified yacht code with harmonised regulations. NXT will also look at how advanced wind energy solutions and advanced propulsion systems are influencing the next generation of yachts and blurring boundaries between motorised and sailing ships.

Operational Excellence & Trust

The focal point Operational Excellence & Trust will come back in several sessions, among which Changing Tack, a Superyacht Alliance think tank, which will probe critical issues around improving crew wellbeing. New this year are two superyacht brainstorm sessions in which attendees can share their ideas on operational safety on yachts and next gen crew. After these sessions think thanks will be created to take the next steps throughout the year.

Owner’s representatives also come under the spotlight with a panel discussing essential requirements for this role and how it is pivotal in refit management. For Synergy & Solutions, a session on the fast-moving world of digitalisation aboard ship will present latest informed information on opportunities and challenges in use, including cybersecurity. With HVO (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil) fuel now widely accepted as a strategically important enabler for immediate significant CO2 reduction, NXT will explore barriers to adoption and solutions for more widespread supply.

This is just a brief overview of a much more extensive programme of main stage presentations and breakout workshops. See thesuperyachtforum.com/programme for further information.

Metstrade Superyacht Content Board

The programme of The Superyacht Forum is shaped in close collaboration with the Metstrade Superyacht Content Board. This initiative brings together key industry superyacht associations to shape the future of the sector. In support of the show content, the board ensures that Metstrade offerings, including the Superyacht Zone remain relevant and valuable to the industry. The esteemed members of the Superyacht Content Board include the International Council of Marine Industry Associations, International Yacht Brokers Association, MYBA The Yachting Association, Professional Yachting Association, Superyacht Builders Association and The Superyacht Alliance.

Networking at the heart of the programme

While a vibrant and through-provoking programme is essential, The Superyacht Forum’s strength lies equally in the generous time given to connect, meet, discuss, collaborate and enjoy the company of peers. Networking is a core component of the programme, spread through session breaks and dynamic lunches. A dedicated drinks reception on Monday evening after the final keynote will be further augmented this year in a new development by an extensive closing party on Tuesday hosted by AkzoNobel and Volvo Penta.

In another new development, all networking events on Tuesday will include attendees from the Superyacht Coating Conference, which is making a welcome return following its absence of several years (Tuesday 18 – Wednesday 19 November)

Placing delegates at the epicentre of the global leisure marine industry

With a full two day programme shaping the future, The Superyacht Forum’s physical positioning and schedule place it right alongside Metstrade (18-20 November) at RAI Amsterdam. The world’s largest leisure marine equipment, technology and services show features the Superyacht Zone across three full halls, the only truly international B2B exhibition providing products and services for the large luxury yacht industry. New features for 2025 include Refit clusters in Hall 8, The Superyacht Stage with daily sessions on superyacht technology and Restaurant Harbour 8, featuring a high value menu that can be enjoyed in just 55 minutes. See metstrade.com/zones/superyacht-zone for more information.
