ICOMIA Superyacht Refit Standard Contract – 7th Edition February 2021

The ICOMIA Superyacht Refit Group Standard Contract (widely known as the Refit Contract) is the industry standard, used by superyacht refit yards across the world. It covers all the essential issues that yacht owners and their insurers need to address when a refit is being planned and undertaken. It was developed with the detailed input of prominent international marine lawyers in conjunction with major yacht management companies, yacht insurers and the refit shipyards themselves and has since become the de facto refit contract within the superyacht industry. Using this internationally recognised standard framework contract speeds up the process of contract signing and brings certainty to refit agreements on a continual basis. The contract form has been regularly reviewed and revised and is now in its 7th Edition.
