Federation Francaise des Ports de Plaisance (FFPP)
Federation Francaise des Ports de Plaisance (FFPP) is composed of Regional Associations or Unions, Direct Members and Corresponding Members that cover Metropolitan France, Corsica, the French Overseas Territories, Lake Geneva and part of the Inland Waterways. The FFPP is represented within the main Institutional networks and maintains relations with the various Ministries, in order to best respond to the requests of its Members.
The Federation, in addition to defending the interests of its Members, aims to federate Marinas to initiate studies and exchanges in the technical, legal, fiscal and environmental fields, in particular with the European “Clean Ports” Certification, to train Marina Staff.

Two strong actions are carried out by the Federation Francaise des Ports de Plaisance (FFPP): – the Quality Pleasure Craft Label – Quality Tourism – to better understand the services offered by the Port to Pleasure Craft Boaters. – The development of the Odyssea Blue Growth program in the territories with the objective of structuring a new Thematic Tourism. The FFPP manages with the Unions, the Collective Agreement of the Personnel of the Pleasure Craft Ports within the framework of the National Joint Commission.
History
Founded in 1979, the French Federation of Marinas (FFPP) is recognised by the State to represent and support the interests of maritime, river, and lake marinas throughout the country, including overseas. Cited as a reference organisation, the FFPP is the official contact for marinas with public authorities. It participates, in close collaboration with affiliated regional unions, in the economic, environmental, and social development of the French maritime and river territory. Serving all the diversity and stakeholders involved in marinas, the FFPP is at the heart of a unifying momentum synonymous with strong projects and dynamic growth.
A Spirit of Unification
A key player in the development of the territory, the French Federation of Marinas is a national pillar of the nautical and pleasure boating sector. Thus, the Federation actively participates and proposes work carried out jointly with national institutions and associations such as ANEL ( National Association of Coastal Elected Officials), the Confederation of Nautical and Pleasure Boating, FIN (Federation of Nautical Industries), FSN (France Station Nautique) or even sports federations such as FFV (French Sailing Federation) and user federations such as UNAN or FNPP . The Federation is also a member of the CMF (French Maritime Cluster) and contributes within it to carrying the voice of the French maritime sector with the main professional organisations in the sector such as Armateurs de France, GICAN, CNPMEM, CNC, etc.
The FFPP works closely with the main State operators involved in the maritime and river sectors, such as VNF (Voies Navigables de France), Atout France and CEREMA
Finally, the FFPP actively contributes to the dialogue between the central State administrations and the professional sectors grouped within the France Maritime Committee and co-leads, with the General Secretariat of the Sea, a working group dedicated to marinas within the framework of the nautical and pleasure boating committee.
Close Work with Partners
The French Federation of Marinas can count on the support of dedicated institutional partners to carry out its mission of defending and supporting the interests of the nautical sector.
“The French Federation of Marinas works in close collaboration with the Ministry of the Sea, the Ministry of Ecological Transition, the General Secretariat of the Sea and all institutional stakeholders in the maritime world.“
Michaël Quernez, President of the French Federation of Marinas.
