Italy, with her 8,000 Kms of coasts and her priviledged location in the hearth of Mediterranean Sea is a point of reference for international leisure boating. Thanks to normative interventions adopted by the Italian State with Decree by the President of the Republic 509/97, a strong impetus was given to a sector that was already relevant for its numbers, but that for bureaucratic problems could not reach the full relevance it has finally achieved today. Today Italy has over 13 1,000 berths and over 36% of them are located in modem marinas.
