Japan – Regulations for charter boats

Under the Domestic Law, operators of charter boats, carrying of 12 passengers or less, are required to register the company name, ship name, etc.and to be in compliance with ship’s safety management system as well. Seafarers on board of a ship more than 5GT are required to have additional lectures of securing passenger safety and to join social insurance for seafares.
