Singapore Boating Industry Association (SBIA) has announced the election of a new General Committee at its Annual General Meeting (AGM), reaffirming its mission to strengthen recreational boating and nautical tourism in Singapore and across Southeast Asia.

New Leadership for the Singapore Boating Industry Association
Mr Arthur Tay, Chairman of SUTL Global, has been elected as Chairman of SBIA. He will be supported by:
- Vice Chairman: James Wong, Republic of Singapore Yacht Club
- Honorary Secretary: Quek Wee Teck, Wanderlust Adventures
- Honorary Treasurer: Siaw Chee Huat, Raffles Marina
Five additional members join the General Committee: Terence Ho (SALTS Marine), Vijaya Jeyaprakash (Eelat), Kent Tan (Go Ocean), Ng Kah Meng (Bob Marine), and Simone Centola (Gateway Law Corporation).

Driving Growth in Singapore’s Boating Industry
In his remarks, Chairman Arthur Tay emphasised Singapore’s potential to become Asia’s leading boating hub. “By uniting our industry through SBIA, we can collectively enhance the boating experience, advocate for our members’ interests, and build stronger recognition from government and international partners,” he said.
The Association’s structure will play a key role in addressing sector-specific needs, from advocating for new marina infrastructure to making boating more accessible. This strategic approach ensures that every segment of the industry has a voice while enabling sustainable growth for boating in Singapore.
Strengthening International Partnerships
The AGM concluded with the Grow Boating Singapore networking event, underscoring SBIA’s role as a unifying platform for the marine sector. SBIA also reaffirmed its commitment to ICOMIA and to expanding regional collaborations, building on its partnership with the Asia-Pacific Superyacht Association.
With strong leadership, dedicated industry clusters, and an expanding membership base, SBIA is poised to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of boating in Singapore.
