    The Indian Marine Federation (IMF) is the body representing leisure boating industry in India. Formed in November 2004 with the objective of promoting a spirit of cooperation and goodwill among the marine dealers and to assist in maintaining a proper standard of ethics and practice of marine merchandising, its involvement into various events, economic affairs concerning the industry and its social obligations. Collective membership is over 40 companies. The Federation has an elected executive committee comprising of Chairman, Treasurer and an additional member and carries out activities under guidance of Honorary Executive Director. The Federation is in the process of planning to hold IMF Boating Days, this year in Mumbai. Benefits accrued from the event will be used to further the objectives of the IMF. In the immediate future the IMF will be taking steps to address policy, technical standards and conduct training for its members.
