ICOMIA Library : Introduction

The ICOMIA Library area offers a number of resources related to boating and the recreational marine industry.

The ICOMIA Library comprises 3 sections:
  • The ICOMIA On-Line Library contains the industry's knowledge. All documents should have a summary in English describing its contents. The description of each document includes its availability, cost (if any) and language. Some of the documents are free to all, some are free to members but the public must pay and a very limited number require payment by all.
  • Useful Links provides direct links into sister association web sites and government organisations related to our industry.
  • The Industry Directory provides links to our member marine industry associations' web page where they have listed companies by category or service

Advanced Marina Management School
The British Marine Federation (BMF), in conjunction with the International Marina Institute (IMI) and the Association of Italian Touristic Ports, presents the internationally renowned Advanced Marina Management School. This six-day course is designed for marina and boatyard managers who have at least three years relevant management experience. Delegates who successfully complete the course will be recognised as meeting one of the requirements to become an IMI Certificated Marina Manager (CMM). Leading speakers will present a wide variety of topics including: - Capital Budgeting - Environmental Management - Marina Development - Marketing - Strategic Planning Each day is packed with a range of learning opportunities, including formal classes and lectures, informal discussions, field trip to nearby marinas, group projects, marina/boatyard industry networking and discussions. The Course will be held from Sunday 15th February to Saturday 21st February 2009, in Lignano, on the Italian Adriatic Coast. The course will be taught in English.
